Farewell to long serving committee members

The April practice weekend saw a well-deserved thank you being made to long serving committee members (and outgoing club president) Brendan and Merryn Scilini. Brendan officially handed over the presidency at the February AGM, but because of the extreme rain event, that meeting was held via phone hook up and there wasn’t a proper handover. Around twenty members were present as current President, Rob Crass, made a tribute to Brendan and Merryn and presented them with gifts of appreciation for their years of service to the club.

Brendan and and Merryn have been members for well over 20 years, and were instrumental in building our wonderful club house, volunteering many weekends of work with the construction and fit out. Additionally, Merryn’s catering over many years has provided significant funds to the club, assisting in getting us to where we are today.

The club wishes Brendan and Merryn well in their retirement from Club management and looks forward to seeing them again as they bask in the fruits of their labour enjoying our practice weekends.
