ANZAC Day Remembrance 2022
Each year, on the 25th April, we pause to honour and remember all Australian servicemen and women. The Remembrance Service includes Bible readings, speeches and the laying of floral wreaths. The service is usually held at the memorial cairn, but due to the poor weather, the AAC-QLD Clubrooms were used as an alternate venue.
For 2022 the guest speaker was Squdron Leader Russel Roser fron the RAAF Base Amberley. At the conclusion of the service, the Mk XVI Supermarine Spitfire and the Mustang P-51D performed an impressive commemorative pass across the airfield.
Approximately 80 people, many from the local community, attended the 2022 ANZAC Day service. A traditional Australian morning tea / light lunch was served in the QWVAA clubrooms to bring the remembrance to a conclusion.
