“October Airfield Fun” was in full swing at Watts Bridge with another delightful Watts For Breakfast?? event celebrating the amazing flying conditions we enjoy in SE Qld this time of year. It’s always a pleasant surprise to see new and unique aircraft making an appearance at each breakfast – they just seem to pop up out of nowhere! This time, we served around 100 delicious meals, and it was fantastic to see members of the South East Queensland Astronomical Society joining in the fun.

We really need to give Peter Freeman a great vote of thanks for his tireless work photographing and documenting each and every Watts For Breakfast?? As Peter wanders the flight line he is always on the lookout for different and interesting ways to take pictures of the aeroplanes we love to fly. To this end, for an October special, Peter positioned himself at the very threshold of the runway and captured the exciting movements of takeoffs and landings – surely the essential moments of every flight.
