News Article Comments
The News Articles and Stories area of the website documents and highlights a cross-section of the day to day events that occur on the airfield. Some cover large scale events such as fly-ins including Watts For Breakfast and Red Thunder, while others are more mundane affairs along the lines of maintenance and just general airfield trivia. Over time, the news articles and stories provide an interesting historical snapshot of the entire airfield’s activities. In fact, we have stories dating back almost 20 years, many of which are preserved on our historical web site.
Up until now, the flow of information has all been one way. The airfield publishes the news articles that we feel will be of interest and the viewer comes by to read the items that they find informative. However: In these modern times, the internet is so much more about two-way communication. One only has to look at the rise and rise of social media for proof. People like to have their say.
So to fill this need we have transformed the News Articles and Stories section of the website into a thoroughly modern-day weblog. This allows our website viewers to easily add comments and perspective to all the articles we publish. And it’s really quite easy to do too!! Simply scroll to the very bottom of the News Article, type your Comments, add your Name (or nickname) and Email Address and click the [Submit] button.
Your comment will appear as soon as the moderators have approved your post, usually in way less than 24 hours. To keep things simple and focussed we have some really simple, common-sense policies governing content and moderation that can be found on our Comments Policy page.
SO that’s about it really!!!
We’re really looking forward to the two-way flow of thoughts and ideas, and reading your comments on all that happens at Watts Bridge And remember, anyone can comment, you don’t have to be an airfield member to have your say !!
