ANZAC Day Remembrance 2021
Each year, on the 25th April, we pause to honour and remember all Australian servicemen and women. The Remembrance Service, which is held at the memorial cairn, includes Bible readings, speeches and the laying of floral wreaths.
For 2021 the guest speaker was Wing Commander Greg Choma, an Aircrew Liaison Officer at the RAAF Base Amberley. At the conclusion of the service, Supermarine Spitfire performed an impressive commemorative pass across the airfield. Also on the airfield were several military and vintage general aviation aircraft adding to to the solemnity of the occasion.
Approximately 70 people attended the ANZAC Day service. A traditional Australian morning tea / light lunch was served in the QWVAA clubrooms to bring the remembrance to a conclusion.
