Airfield Update - 7.30am 25th May

As of now the All-In Fly-In and Fun Flight are going ahead as planned. In fact we already have several early arrivals on the ground. At the moment it is a bright sunny morning with not a breath of wind. No doubt this will change as the day proceeds, but the event is most definitely ON, so come on down!!

Watts Bridge Memorial Airfield and Fun Flight Australia have joined forces to bring the opportunity of aviation to disadvantaged children.

Running in parallel with the All-In Fly-In, volunteer pilots will take the participating children and their carers for a short scenic flight around the district as part of a full on aviation day out.

All participants are advised to keep an eye on the website for any late breaking updates.

Fun Flight Update

9:00PM 24th May 2013

At this point Fun Flight is going ahead tomorrow. It may be windy but providing aircraft turn up we will do our best to take everybody for a fly. However, if it gets too windy Fun Flight may have to be curtailed or cancelled. We will place an update on the website in the morning.
Peter Biddle - Watts Bridge Fun Flight Co-ordinator

Watts Bridge Memorial Airfield is strongly committed to a "Fly Neighbourly" policy ensuring good working relationships with other land owners in the district.

Pilots are requested to download the Fly Neighbourly Chart to be aware of and avoid where operationally possible, noise and over-fly sensitive locations adjacent to the airfield.

All-In Fly-In 2012 Video Highlights

What better way to get in the mood for the All-In Fly-In 2013 than to kick back and admire the superb camera work of the three part documentary created by Campbell Sharp and Kev Lotz of last year's event??

Behind the Hangar Door

Behind almost any hanger door you'll find a story just waiting to be told. And so it is at Bruce and Mary Clarke's air chalet. Repeat offender Bruce is at it again - constructing yet another World War 1 fighter replica - an Airdrome Aeroplanes' Sopwith Camel Replica. However this time Ron Dunn has also been swept up in the enthusiasm and is also building a 100% scale Camel. This could be the start of a WW1 Watts Bridge Squadron!!. Glenda Faint (who has built her own aircraft) is also getting in on the act helping with the fabric work, something she really enjoys and does to perfection.

So give it a couple of years and stand by for the dawn patrol !!
